Colorado Springs, CO --- La Plata Investments, LLC is cooking up something good this Thanksgiving day by sponsoring the Briargate Family YMCA Turkey Trot.

For the past nine years, the Turkey Trot – a 5K run and a1K Kids Run – has given runners a chance to burn some serious calories before their Thanksgiving meals, and help those less fortunate. This year will be no different. Proceeds from the Turkey Trot will benefit the YMCA’s Annual Partners Campaign, which allows lower income families to participate in YMCA programs.

The 1K Kids Run will start at 8:15 am and the 5K race will start at 9:00 am Thanksgiving Day at the Briargate Family YMCA. Early bird registration fee for the 5K run is $18; the Kids Run is free.
