Colorado Springs, CO (July 21, 2005) --- La Plata Investments, LLC President and CEO, Scott Smith, announces that Mike Ruebenson has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Ruebenson will oversee all of the financial and accounting operations at La Plata Investments, LLC.

Most recently, Ruebenson served as Corporate Controller for Spectranetics Corporation headquartered in Colorado Springs. For 12 years prior to that position, he served as Senior Director of Finance and Contracts for Signal Processing Technologies and Chief Financial Officer for Colorado Structures, Inc. Mr. Ruebenson began his professional career in Colorado Springs in 1985, as an Audit Manager for Deloitte & Touche Certified Public Accountants, a position he held for six years.

Mr. Ruebenson is originally from South Dakota. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of South Dakota. He is married and has three children. Away from the office, Mr. Ruebenson is an avid golfer and soccer coach for his daughter’s soccer team.

La Plata Investments, LLC is the real estate developer for the master planned communities of Briargate, Pine Creek, Cordera, and the commercial property of Briargate Business Campus, The Promenade Shops at Briargate and Briargate Crossing.
